If I leave here tomorrow

Would you still remember me
For I must be
travelling on now
'Cause there's too many

places I've got to see
But if I stayed

here with you girl
Things just couldn't

be the same
'Cause I'm as free

as a bird now
And this bird you

cannot change
(Instrumental)
Bye bye,

its been
a sweet love
Oh this feeling

I can't change
But please don't

take it so badly
'Cause Lord knows

I'm to blame
But, if I stayed here

with you girl
Things just couldn't

be the same
Cause I'm as free

as a bird now
And this bird

you'll never change
And this bird you

cannot change
And this bird you

cannot change
And this bird you

cannot change
Lord help me

I can't change
Won't you fly high
Freebird .....
(Long Guitar Solo To End).
'Freebird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd
has gone down in history
as one of the greatest Rock
tracks ever released.
Written in 1972, the track was a
dedication to Duane Allman of
'The Allman Brothers Band'who

had died a year previously.
Described as
'Americas Difmitive
Southern Rock Band',

Lynyrd Skynyrd reached
prominence in the
early 1970's.
On October 20th, 1977
en route from
Greenville, South Carolin
to Baton Rouge, Louisiana,
their chartered plane crashed.
Band leaderllead vocalist
'Ronnie Van Zant'

was killed along with other
members of the band.
Some members survived.
The original band released 5

albums before 'Van Zants'
death.
In 1977 the remaining
members of the band
reformed for a one time
tribute, with lead vocalist
'Johnny Van Zant'
('Ronnies' younger brother)
But it was not to last.

'Johnny Van Zant'
died of pneumonia soon after.
A tragic story....yes
but what's left of

Lynyrd Skynyrd
are still touring!
In 2005,
Lynyrd Skynyrd

were inducted into the
'Rock 8 Roll Hall Of Fame'
This track will go down in
'Rock History'

as one of the greatest ever
